We have selected some of the "Frequently Asked Questions" (FAQs) we get asked from time to time. You can scroll down for the full list or have a look at the titles below and click on the title you want to know more about. If this does not answer your questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Do you have late booking / last minute riding holiday offers?
- You are always welcome to contact us with inquiries about late bookings.
Do you organise flights?
- No, as we find that it is usually cheaper and more convenient for our clients to take advantage of the many low cost airline routes operating to Malaga.
Can you do special itineraries for group bookings?
Yes, please contact us for special arrangements.
Do you cater for families?
Yes - and don't forget that not everyone need to either ride, or be able to ride, as we cater from total beginners to experienced riders. Also, we have a full range of other Other Activities for non riders.
Do I have to do riding every day?
No - we understand fully that not every one wants to ride every day. Equally if you have a non riding partner or friend that is no problem at all. As we cooperate with other companies in this area all their activities are open to us, so while you are riding your partner could be mountain biking, or potholing. See Other Activities for details.
Do I have to be an expert rider / what experience do I need?
No - not at all. We cater for the total beginner, right through the "rusty rider" to the experienced riders. All our trekkings are in the mountains and we have stated the level required to participate. When you book the holiday you state your wishes and your riding ability, and we will find the best trekking for you.
Are there minimum ages / height / weight restrictions on the riding?
Yes, in consideration for our horses we have an upper weight limit of 85 kg for a fully equipped rider. We have no height or age limits.
What's the weather like?
In Andalucia we enjoy about 300 days of sunshine per year. We have the four seasons and in spring and autum the weather is very pleasant for outdoor activities in the mountains around Los Caballos del Mosquin. But being a mountainous area the weather can change very rapidly from lovely sunshine to fog, rain and strong wind.
In the summer we are blessed with a lot of sunshine and more stabile weather. It can get very hot during the day, so we recommend early morning or evening activities.
Check the actual, local weather here.
What should I bring?
You need to pack for a trip to southern Spain at the time of year you are considering (see "What's the weather like" above). For the activities you will need casual and comfortable clothes, suitable footwear for the activities you will be doing. In the winter it is sensible to bring a waterproof wind breaker, and a warm sweater as it can be quite cold in the mountains. It is always a good idea to dress “in layers” to take off or put on as the temperature changes. We will provide the riders with hard hats.

Please see Eco Policy.
What's going to try and eat me?
In the mountains there are Ibex, wild boars, rabbits etc - but don’t worry they will not try to eat you! As everywhere else we have wasps, bees and in the evening mosquitos, so bring what you usually use to protect yourself from these flying creatures.
